Celebrating 60 years of the Oxfordshire Museum

• Events Home

To celebrate 60 years since the museum officially opened to the public, please join us for a celebration of the museum, past, present and future.
Our Museum Service Manager, Jemma Davey will give a short talk using photographs and press cuttings from the archives about the history of the museum. This will be followed by a special screening of a film commissioned especially for the birthday. Supporters, staff and volunteers past and present share their memories and hopes for the museum in this 20 minute film.
There will be tea and birthday cake and a chance for us to thank our staff, volunteers, supporters and visitors for their support and loyalty throughout the years.
Cakes will be nut free and gluten and vegan cake options will be provided but please let us know if you have any other allergies or dietary requirements by emailing oxfordshire.museum@oxfordshire.gov.uk.
This event is open to everyone and free but booking is essential.
