Yes - David Newton - he's won the accolade of 'British Jazz Awards Best Pianist of the year’ 16 times - he is also a fellow of Leeds College of Music and thus recognised as one of our leading jazz educators in the UK as well as a pianistic supremo. His successes don’t end there, he has worked extensively with playwright Alan Aykbourn; is a founding artist for the LINN record label and has toured the world with some of the world’s most revered jazz musicians including Alan Barnes, Carol Kidd, Marion Montgomery, Annie Ross and Claire Martin.
