Witney Jazz presents Sting Reimagined

Several years ago, bassist Paul Jefferies created a set of arrangements for the music of composer and bassist ‘Sting', but they have never really been aired properly in public. Paul has asked good friend and pianist Alex Steele to help create a show that uses some of these and add some of Alex’s Sting favourites to the mix. Sting’s music has always appealed to jazz musicians with its unique melodies and great opportunities to improvise over and around some extraordinary harmonies, so we are excited to hear the results! Paul on double bass and bass guitar, Alex plays piano, the excellent, powerful Rob Griffin will be on tenor sax - drummer to be announced!
