Sarah Vaughan was in many experts opinions the finest jazz singer to come out of the golden era of jazz singers in the heyday of American vocal jazz. She had several hits as well as a hugely successful career as a jazz vocalist per se. This very special show is brought to you by the excellent Australian (now London based) Jazz & Soul vocalists Lily Dior with a quartet featuring multi-award winning saxophonist Simon Allen , Jez Cook (guitar), Paul Jefferies (bass) and Rob Brian (drums). Since arriving in the UK, Lily has performed at all of the prestigious venues throughout the country to much critical acclaim. A gorgeous sassy voice coupled with a true understanding of the music of Jazz and a technique that gives her audiences pin-point pitching, meaningful lyrical interpretation and a joy for the music she’s performing.
