The Jazz Club at Witney presents the Greg Abate quartet @ The corn exchange, Witney

• Events Home

Greg must be one of the most travelled American musicians on the planet, a truly international star performer and, as you’d expect, a world-class saxophonist (alto, soprano and flute). He is a high-octane player with a masterful grasp of both swing and bebop, a ready smile, and the ability to immediately engage with his audiences. Backed by a superb rhythm section featuring Paul Jefferies on bass, Alex Steele piano and Gaz Hughes on drums, the result is full-powered, hard-swinging music at its very best. Together they create an exhilarating blend of energy, sophistication and musical chemistry, whether accompanying outstanding singers and instrumentalists or taking centre stage in their own right. All have performed with Greg around the UK to much critical acclaim. Get there if you can…
