More Information (WRFM is not responsible for external websites)

In association with GreenTea, and part of Eynsham's Big Green Weekend we are pleased to host the People's Emergency Briefing.

Based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster, London (featured by ITV, Channel 4, and The Times), this eye-opening 50-minute documentary brings together nine leading UK scientists and experts, with contributions from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the country. While the film originated in the UK, it has now spread to new locations in Europe. Climate change does not recognise borders, and both the challenges and solutions are shared.

Message from Deborah Fleming, a member of Eynsham's Nature Recovery Network and organiser of the event: ‘’This unique documentary screening invites members of the public, local representatives, and media to engage with (rather than avoid) the difficult evidence of biodiversity loss and nature breakdown on the web of life which sustains us all. We will make space to reflect on the implications for our community, and begin the conversation on how – through mutual support, collaborative action, and shared skills – we can build a local foundation for a liveable, resilient future for all. We will share a sense of optimism and hope to create a compelling argument for change - together. To this end, we would like to hear everyone’s voice in the room, and for people to go away knowing that – with our combined wisdom and resources, and by working together – we can find solutions that allow us to endure and thrive in the years ahead.”

Film screening and public discussion from 7pm–8:30 pm. Light refreshments will be served from 6:45 pm.

Seats are limited. Early booking is advised. We ask for a voluntary donation to support the National Emergency Briefing and expand public access to the film.
