An informal plantsman’s garden with many different areas. A 10 year old arboretum planted with trees and shrubs and roses from many parts of the world such as China, Korea, , Japan, Iran, USA and Taiwan focusing on spring blossom and autumn colour. Herbaceous borders, cottage garden with roses and perennials planted in colour beds, an Iris garden with over 100 different bearded iris varieties from France, Herb garden designed by Rosemary Verey. Large collection of snowdrops and other winter bulbs and flowering plants. Large mixed borders with trees, shrubs and ground cover. Water features. Pergola with climbing roses and clematis. Unusual and amusing topiary. Coronation field planted by continents in 2023 with trees from Asia, Europe, Americas and Central Asia. Grade 2 Elizabethan house (not open) covered in roses and rare climbers. The garden was visited by the Tree Register in 2023 and has 11 ‘County Champions’ and 9 ‘Remarkable Trees’.
