This ¾ acre patch is gently gardened by Robert and Mandy Cooper. The naturally sloping Cotswold terrain leads down to a small tributary of the Evenlode with mature weeping willows whispering overhead.
A variety of natural planting and young trees means it has kept its orchard like character. Eighteen years ago the original farm pigsty was converted into a garden studio which opens onto a small Italianate terrace and offers a 180 degree view where you can have tea. Original parts of the farm orchard have been left for interest, such as old gates, tree trunks and dry stone walls, mostly because we couldn’t afford to move them! Adjacent to the cottage there is a ‘sunken’ garden,(redesigned Easter 2022) with four mature Crataegus Orientalis and herbaceous borders consisting of shade loving plants one side and sun loving plants the other! A work in progress you might say.
