This garden has evolved over 38 years under the present ownership and includes many interesting features including a bog garden, fruit orchard, herbaceous borders and a large glass house and vegetable plot. The chalk stream arises in the garden and a small spring-fed lake stocked with fish, ducks and moorhens completes the scene. An otter has been spotted at least twice in the last thaw years. Free range chickens also roam in the northwest corner. In the last few years there have been exciting changes to the landscape as a new dwelling was constructed into the hill in the northeast corner and the site of a Saxon dwelling was discovered as well as fossils of ammonites in the chalk. Statues of Toad, Ratty, Mole and Badger can be found amongst the borders.
